I see what you did there
Could you explain it to me? I don't really know the meaning of "it's sick" (Is it ill?)
Sick can be used either to refer to something unfortunate (as in ill), or to refer to something really awesome. It's just casual American slang.
Not to be confused with "ill" as in awesome.
Calling something sick is far more than unfortunate, it’s closer to demented or disgusting
It's just casual American slang.
We used to use it in Australia in the 2000s too. If something was very awesome, it was "fully sick".
Thorpey says it's fully sick!
I was thinking of that ad when I wrote the comment!
Sick is said as a bad thing. But in teenager slang it can be used as something cool.
That's why biden used this double meaning word... I see.
He clearly didn't intend it to mean anything else but the literal meaning
No. It only has that meaning if you're 14 and very edgy. No adult will use it like a teenager would.
Sick has had this meaning since like... The 70s or 80s. Its not just edgy teens. In fact I suspect that this has probably fallen out of favor with gen alpha.
So if anything, I think you probably have that exactly backwards
Still at least two generations newer than any slang Biden would use.
Oh for sure, my comment wasn't literal. No way does Biden have the presence of mind to make a slick response like that
"The shooting was the bee's knees."
It's been around for a long time but you stop using it like that once you have a sliver of adulthood. The point being that no Biden did not use it as a double entendre.
Ah yes, only 14 year olds skateboard and/or surf. Lol
nerd.
Trump's grazed in the ear, inches away from death. That's sick, man.
It is totally ill bro
Do you have a license, to ill?
