Hello community, looking for your wisdom, I need a tool / addon / script / whatever free that works for windows to download videos from i.e. netflix or prime video. ty!
Does ytd work well? Many streaming sites I try prevent downloading via ytd.
Especially those using HLS m3u8 to serve videos and shown as blob content. Only addon that seem to work in most of the streamers is https://github.com/puemos/hls-downloader
Even this is a bit buggy in that it would stop working after downloading 4-6 vids and i need to restart the browser. Annoying but works when getting a direct video URL or ytd fails.
It requires an elaborate setup with knockoff capture cards and HDMI splitters with their drm compliance disabled. People who already have this upload Netflix movies etc to wherever you get the rest of your movies
PlayOn.tv is a service that allows you to record from Netflix and Prime, and several others. I used their old desktop software for years before they moved the whole thing to the cloud and turned it into a service. Give it a try if you like.
I've been using Streamfab to download niche shows I've purchased through prime video that I couldn't find anywhere else. It's expensive af, but there's a crack for it.
Then you must not hesitate to choose StreamFab Netflix downloader. Use this tool to download images with up to 4k quality, watch them offline and save them permanently.
You can use this Netflix downloader or Amazon Video Downloader, which enable you to download videos from Netflix or Prime video in 1080p. You can enjoy the free trial if you are new to these tools.
I 'd like to recommend you with some ad-free video downloaders to help you escape annoying commercials.i have used it for a long
time. you can try these apps too.

I often use StreamFab Amazon Downloader to download videos on Amazon. The official download always expires after a week, but the videos downloaded by StreamFab can be saved permanently, allowing me to watch them even when the Internet connection is not very common.
Streamfab and RedFox AnyStream are the big ones when you want a movie from a streaming ip that you can't find on any trackers. I'd recommend trying out AnyStream's free trial, you wanna make sure it works before you buy.
