What's the deal with sh.reddit?
Anyone know why sh.reddit.com exists? Is it something they plan to use in future? ATM, it just looks justlike reddit.com with a few small style differences.

I believe it was a proposed UI for mobile reddit that they didn't stick with.
And it's still more functional than the app just from a 10 second look
Oh so they're getting rid of then? You happen to have a link with more information about when it was proposed? I can't seem to find any useful information on it.
I was moving fast and not paying attention. Thanks.
That .... actually looks and feels pretty slick. Very neat UI.
I get a "Error 301 Moved Permanently"
Edited the OP to explicitly include the protocol in the link. That may have fixed it. Try clicking on the link in post again.
I had to check this out and found the categories under the hamburger menu. Anyone else find it funny that r/teenagers is showing as a community under Animals and Pets?
For me that UI style kept appearing for me while signed out. The dedicated subdomain is news to me.
Edit: It is a read-only experience. If you try to reply or vote, you'll be asked to sign in even if you are already.
Yeah which makes me believe they're probably going to axe it
Hmm I didn't have to log in and I'm able to see everything and reply. I just upvoted a few things while on it. Maybe it only works for a subset of users?
nvm
