Do u actually daily drive alpine? If so how do you get around limited packages
3 0 ReplyGentooIsBased @lemmy.ml OP Yes, I daily drive it. It has plenty of packages. If I want something packaged, I request it on the aports repo: https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports.
1 0 Replytheshatterstone54 @feddit.uk I used to have a spreadsheet of all the packages I use and their availability between distros. I think I'd like to update that and see if Alpine is viable (I like Fedora but it's getting a bit stale how good and stable it is, so I'm kinda looking forward to trying something new)
