With my recent de-modding and ban from the DnDMemes sub, I now have plenty of time to touch grass and help grow this community/instance. AMA I guess?

For the record, I fully support what the remaining mod team is doing, they are a wonderful group and I trust them completely. I don't regret the choices I made, only that my actions got a few other mods shit canned in the process.

  • You did a great job.

I have tried to repoint the tiny Wanderhome community on Reddit here to Lemmy for those that want to make the jump - but given most of the activity is on Discord, it is not very lively here yet!

What are a handful of your favourite D&D memes at the moment?

  • Dunno where else to drop it, so I'll put it here: props to you for using this opportunity to finally "fix" the name from dndmemes to general rpgmemes. Lord knows that debate went on for years longer than it should've

  • AMA I guess

    Have you tried Pathfinder?

Now the meme's out of the way, how are you finding modding on Lemmy so far?

  • Is it hard to walk with those iron balls between your legs.

For real though. Thanks for your efforts and making a stand.

  • Are you in contact with the other two mods who got kicked? u/4cheese u/EquivalentInflation? How did the admins decide who got the hammer?

    • Yes! We have a discord. They're doing well, one's justifiably frustrated because they'd been working on a post and finished writing it a few hours before getting banned. The mods they picked had approved memes that were marked as smut/lewd.

    • I signed up for lemmy a while back and well... I should go touch grass for a bit before jumping back into something like lemmy. 😅

What's a moment you've really enjoyed in a game recently?

    • I've had a weekly 5e game with some old college friends that's been running for 4+ years. We started at level 1 and just turned level 19. During the last fight I ended in the center of an enemy's casting of Meteor Swarm and was unscathed thanks to my Shield Master feat. That was pretty great!

  • I wasn't in that sub and I may be the only Lemmy user who doesn't play DnD, but even I've heard tales of your antics. Welcome to the Fediverse!

  • When did you start using reddit, when did you start playing RPGs, and when did you start modding that sub?

    • Started using reddit 12 years ago, playing DnD for 5-6 years, and modding for about 4.

  • Do you watch DnD content online (CriticalRole, Dimension 20, etc.)? If so, what's your favourite?
