  • I really like the punchy end to this article.

    According to Reddit spokesperson Tim Rathschmidt, “We’ll no longer comment on hearsay, unsubstantiated claims, or baseless accusations from The Verge. We’ll be in touch as corrections are needed.” In the absence of corrections, then, you can assume Reddit believes none are necessary.

  • I was only a mod briefly (basically created it as a honeypot for mods I thought would be good), but given my actual career, if I were 10 to 15 years (or even more) into it and faced with this bullshit, it might be worth riding it out and then watching it die. External force saying it's time to move on.

  • Thats… super shitty. I know the mods love what they built, but it’s time to ditch out. Reddit will keep enforcing more and more rules on them and completely ruin anything they have left.

  • I'm surprised none of them have just set AutoModerator to remove every new post.

    • That would be easier for Reddit to just undo. It's more effective to just not moderate at all and show Reddit what happens when anyone can post anything.
