How not to celebrate MLK Day rule
I've seen some pretty distasteful MLK Day ads, but this one...
It's somehow even worse in the original email. It has a little animation of the chocolates jumping into Dr. King's mouth.
I also find the image of companies using Martin Luther King's image to advertise and make money pretty distasteful because it erases his history and message and replaces it with advertising and capitalism
He was killed once he started advocating for socialism. Just makes it more obscene.

You're implying that you would have been a customer. Maybe they lose some current customers off such tactics but if their stuff is being reposted everywhere a lot more people are s hearing about the existence of the service who have never heard of it before, and some of those will be new customers. Obviously many will find it distasteful, but most weren't customers in the first place.

I'm in the US. We don't get most of the Cadbury stuff here, and what we do get (mostly Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs, sometimes Dairy Milk bars) is made by Hershey under license so it's kinda crap.
Unless, of course, you get it from an importer like World Market or these guys. Though I don't think I'll be buying from these guys in the future.

Holy shit. I used to work for this company. The CEO is the definition of Florida Man and treats his employees like shit. I guarantee he got high and put this together himself. Everyone should avoid giving them money (their competitors are better anyway).

Honestly, I just wanted to share this horrifically tone deaf email I received. It's so fucking terrible that it makes you laugh about it. Like, some marketing goon somewhere actually thought this was a good idea, and the mere fact that that goon exists is both sad and kinda funny. It's like when McDonald's used "I'd hit it" in an ad for their double cheeseburgers, only racist as fuck to boot.
It's not even hard to do that. But having this idea, printing it in letters, completing it... How did they not have a keyboard burning under their fingers?
