Article by Reuters: A coalition of the right-wing PP and the fascist Vox parties has lifted most legal protections for LGBT+ people, legalising discrimination and abuse on the basis of sexual and gender identities.

  • It's worth noting that Madrid, having been the center of the Franco regime, has a right-leaning populace and the Vox party has pushed things further in a similar fashion to the Trumpistas in the US.

    I believe this is lashing out because the central government is socialist and has made recent decisions which the fascists don't like.

  • So you can legally beat us up there as long as you don’t “injure” us. A word which is subject to interpretation (at least in English, I don’t know how similar it is in Spanish) but I’m going to guess they mean “doesn’t require professional medical care”. And they label this as human rights being just “partially revoked”.
