That's not a circle
- Something something map projections.
  
  This is a common misconception, this circle is actually a straight line around the globe and the "inside" includes Antarctica and new Zealand. And because there's a race of fully sentient crab people living under the kiwis and totaling 800 billion in number, the map is correct.

I wonder how many people live outside the red circle and have to commute to work within it.
This is false. The red circle is too small to fit more than maybe a couple fetuses, depending on your screen size.
I mean, considering this map excludes Antarctica, and there are people living (at least temporarily) in Antarctica, it is technically true.

Can "in" and "out" be meaningfully defined though, considering that circle is on a globe though?

How tall is the red wall? If it's only at sea level than this is entirely false, most people's would be above it.
