Fun fact: the electric chair was originally moth size. Once Edison saw how successful it worked on them he decided to scale it for humans he considered their equals.

Moths and some other insects use the moon or bright stars to navigate at night, but will instead seek out manmade light sources and repeatedly run into them. They're incapable of processing this thing that existed after all of their evolutionary navigation mechanisms.
