How to find serial number of Lenovo laptop from Linux

I don't think this is Lenovo specific. I've used for a dell and an hp laptop. This is just "how to find the serial number for your machine on Linux"

I'm guessing with dmidecode? I'll read the article when I get back home... but usually I find such info with dmidecode.

Silly question, but is the sticker gone?
