attention, attention, oh remember when....
attention, attention, oh remember when....
attention, attention, oh remember when....
Adjacent to this is either A) info dumping and feeling the other person start zoning out, or (possibly worse) B) info dumping and feeling yourself start zoning out mid-sentence.
As a certified Random Guy With ADD™️, I can confirm, I zoned out writing this sentence.
I forgot whatever you said and can't muster the strength to look up to re-read whatever you said but probably both and now I'm worrying that whatever I'm typing doesn't apply at all so I'm kind of between "both" and "(n)either" just to be in the clear I don't even remember if I even read whatever you said in the first place at all.
This took me multiple minutes to type out I'm just so incapable today.
This happens to me quite often, I can only take in so much of what someone is saying and then my brain is like “that’s all folks!”
I find this only happens with certain people who talk too much and just overload me with details. Just hit me with the major summaries of whatever you’re trying to say, if I care enough, I’ll dig deeper and ask for details. Otherwise, I just find myself fading in and out with people who give me too much backstory and detail before they ever get to the point.
Do you actually feel it? I don't feel it at all. Just at some point I am like "oh fuck, I didn't listen to what they were saying". And I cannot even remember what I was thinking
please don't let them ask a relatated question....
I catch myself sometimes half way through someone talking about something where I was fully paying attention for the first bit of them talking and then tuning back in for the end realizing “oh fuck” but it’s the same. My mind just wanders idk even know to what. There are times though where someone asks me a follow up question and I realize I wasn’t paying attention at all beyond the start of them talking.
Yes, it's usually not like I never listened, I just disconnect at some point
Auto glaze (over)
I zoned out reading this
