As a youth I went on a backpacking trip. At designated camping spots they had latrines that were open air boxes with a toilet seat on top. They came in three configurations:
- Solo, one seat
- Pilot-to-copilot, two seats, side by side
- Pilot-to-bombardier, two seats, back to back
