Now there’s talk of asking for an early warning system.
Like, holy shit CTFD. They’re equating the needs of a place where an earthquake damaged one building one time with places that routinely get serious and severe earthquakes that can literally shake buildings into rubble
Turns out I can sleep through an earthquake.
So that's what that was. The whole building creaked and banged waking me up. I thought we had an intruder!
So why are we getting so many earthquakes recently? I don’t really remember any before that big one in 2021.
Link to the earthquake on Geoscience Australia.
I felt this last night in Ringwood. The whole house shook and windows creaked! Woke up and ran outside in my undies! It was "a bit chilly"! Reported it on Earthquakes.ga.gov.au. This is the second one I've reported this year.
Completely slept through this one. As did both the cat and dog.
I was up at the time and only noticed the house creaking a bit, thought it was some strong wind.
Yup, woke me up, just like the last one. So confusing until you realise what is going on.
Damn. So that what it was last night. I felt that one but there always seems to be a truck or what sounds like one going past when it happens so it confuses me.
I thought I felt one about an hour before this happened, and I was asleep through the 4.6 one.
Oh no the lattes will spill
I didn't even notice the earthquake (I'm in City of Port Phillip) - so definitely not that intense here compared to the 2021 one.
