An unexpected new favorite show on Dropout

Gastronauts seemed like a weird and kinda bland show at first look. But after making it more than 20 minutes into the first episode of season ~~two~~ one (whoops, I meant season one), I was really starting to like the show.

I just finished watching episode two and that was just an amazing episode across the board for me. I was laughing quite a lot during it. I mean, how could you not, with Ify, Lily, and Grant as guest judges.

It’s good! And season 2 is better, I think.
I do sometimes find myself wishing they were a bit more strict about the chefs having to follow the prompts, as I think they let them off too easy for low effort attempts, but I also get that it wouldn’t be in keeping with the show’s laid back vibe so I’m ok with it.
- Whoops. I meant to say of Season 1. But this has me looking forward to the next season. I'm more relaxed with Dropout's variant of a food challenge show not being as formal as others are. But I can understand the irritant of it.

I love it! Growing up, food network was on nearly 24/7 since it was the only thing we could all agree on watching (or least didn't disagree with). I always wished they would experiment more with the cooking gameshow format, so this was a breath of fresh air!
