You’re only at risk to things like this if you aren’t rich. Which is why they don't care.
- On the plus side, nature doesn't care about the size of your bank account. They can't hide forever.
  
  Pollution and climate issues aren't going to bring total and utter annihilation. Just things like food and water scarcity and wars/famine/health issues due to those things. Having a lot of money absolutely will insulate people from the horrors of these things.
