I love how well it captures the essence of the dog with so few lines. It is impressionist high art.

Suddenly the drawing on the right makes sense.
IIRC the drawing on the right won some competition for being the best drawing. If not, it should have.

  Nah, like if you pushed the contrast as far as possible in Photoshop you would just get basically a black and white image of the most extreme parts of the original.
