  • 'Coomer' mostly fell out of fashion, but it was always a fairly general term for a man who consumed too much porn. 'Gooner' used to be specific to the subculture, but has now generalized to also mean someone who consumes too much porn.

  • Coomers are maestros of the orgasm, they know how to have a good jo shesh. Gooners are masochists that hate cumming and never cum, they beat themselves for no reason.

    • I think that's not always the case, at least per the guy who wrote that profile about the gooning discord server. I forgot what his name was or what the article was called, but he was on Trueanon last month or the month before. It seems like there's a few different methods to participate in the subculture, without one specific set of rules. The identity of the subculture is defined by the extent of investment in the activity more than any quality of how they do it. Seems like the main features are the obsessive element, the surrender to the id, and the community aspect.

  • Every gooner is a coomer but not every coomer is a gooner. It's like rectangles and squares or something

  • The difference between gooners and coomers is more nuanced and subtle than you’d think. Y’see, goomers are the have big at hand. The coom goons the goom at midnight.

Meanwhile, coomers are a misunderstood bunch. The coomers goon with coom-like goonness. Good goomers coom coomers, but goom coomers goon gooners. It’s pretty easily to remember it all that way. Coom goon gooners goom coom. Goomy gooners going coomy! Coom and goon gloom and doom. Gooners going goony!

Hope this helps and was thorough enough. Please let me know if you need sources.
