Dear BaconReader users,

We wanted to inform you with a heavy heart that, starting from July 1, 2023, BaconReader will be unable to function due to the recent API changes made by Reddit.

  • I can feel the emotion in that post. It's so sad. All that time and effort.

  • BaconReader was my first Reddit app, back when I had a Windows Phone. It was basically the only good way to browse Reddit on Windows Phone.

I haven't used it in many years, but I am sad to see it go.

  • I wanted to like BR but it lacked so much. Android app was better then ios but i couldn't do basic things that made me reddit the way i wanted to reddit. plus the devs barely answered anything on the sub. Sad to see them go!

  • Baconreader was my app of choice for Reddit. I preferred the simplicity, cutting out things I really didn't care about. Sad to see what Reddit has done to the community.
