Fascinating. Ain't no 25 floor brick buildings around here.
The Monadnock Building is "the tallest load-bearing brick or masonry building ever constructed," and it looks to be about sixteen floors, though I suppose it's quite possible there are non-structural brick elements in taller buildings.
1412 Broadway
This photo was taken on the 25th floor of the building
Edit, lots of bricks, the building is steel frame clad in brick and terracotta
You sure? Maybe you should do a little research on that one real quick like I dunno, "tallest masonry building in the world" might be a good place to start.
Seriously? "Around here" means in my vicinity. Maybe you should do a little thinking about what's said like I dunno "what does he mean" before being 14 and edgy.
What is wrong with you?
I took your advice. The tallest masonry building in the world is Philadelphia City Hall, and is only 9 floors. It was surpassed by the Singer Building which had 41 floors, but was steel construction.
So the person you're responding to is right. There's no 25 story brick buildings anywhere in the world.

What building is this?

Cool pic OP. Love that sort of 'bizaree slice of life'.
to everyone so worked up about bricks on the 25th floor:
if you search for '1412 broadway' (which OP mentioned multiple times) you quickly find 'Elsie Rooftop' bar. which, in fact, is on the 25th floor of 1412 broadway. on opentable, you find this picture of the bar:
which shows, that there are bricks on the 25th floor of 1412 broadway. and that there is a structure in the background, which looks quite similar to what OP posted.
is it proof, that everything about OPs picture and small description is genuine? no! is it enough things that matches, so that I believe them? yes! especially considering that this would be a weirdly well constructed forgery for some internet points...
The building is steel frame with brick and terracotta facade which is actually pretty common in NYC
Quite the conduit run too.
Hol'up. What skyscraper has churchy windows? Press X.
1412 Broadway
Ironically enough, not a skyscraper.
First one is the Woolworth building, tallest in the world for a brief period. The architecture of NYC is very rich and varied, and neo-gothic was in vogue for a time. The second is 1412
Thank you, OP, for the genuinely edifying response. I'm a fan of neat trivia like this, and I'll enjoy the rabbit holes this new info inspires. 🤓🖖🏼
Never seen that before either. It’s a valid question.
Not according to the downvoting toadies here. 🤦🏼♂️ Eh. Fuckem. 🤪
I see your finger
