I'm gonna guess that the highest paid person at U of N is the head football coach. I bet that the football coach is one of the highest paid public official in the entire state of Nebraska.
I loved the university system. Too bad it was eaten alive by leeches and pigskins.
Gee whiz a guy that yells at kids in tights 6 months a year is the highest paid. That is dedication to money and gambling not to learning.
The best part is that he's not even particularly good at it. Nebraska has been shit for well more than a decade at this point.
Frost hasn’t been the coach for a few years now. The current coach is Matt Rhule.
because sports is a money maker for universities unfortunately. thats where all your resources go, to sports, and why career development for students not in sports is very lacking or non-existent. labs for experience, often are small and full if you try to apply, and often time the PIs are very hesitent to allow new students into thier labs.
and advising is done BY overworked PROFESSORS THEMSELVES, who want nothing more than to get you to leave them alone as fast as possible, so they give students bad advice most of the time.
It would be great if we could separate academia and sports.
I mean to be fair if they're bringing in more money than the university spends on them they're an investment rather than an expensive.
Considering how bad the last few coaches have been at Nebraska I'm pretty sure they don't bring in the money I'm pretty sure it's the program itself that brings in the money.
