The amount of time I spend online is entirely irrelevant to the question at hand. Your focus on that particular point, which I never disputed, is pretty odd. You can find the information I'm referring to in a 30 second Google search which pretty much everyone does on a regular basis for things they care about. The problem is that a good chunk of people don't care enough to find out whether or not they're being lied to by the media they consume. I don't think it's necessary to excuse that level of ignorance but you seem insistent on doing so. That's not being understanding it's justifying idiocy for no good reason.
You don't need to be terminally online to know that Donald Trump is a piece of shit. You're trying really hard to justify intentional stupidity. Empathy is good but you don't need to employ it to the point that you force a reason to let these people off the hook. In fact, I would argue that nothing will change until we all accept our role in educating ourselves. It's not anyone else's job to do that.
Many of them through no fault of their own weren't reached by the message.
That's where we disagree. Media bubbles exist but the internet makes it so easy to find opposing viewpoints that failing to do so should absolutely be considered a personal failure. They'd rather believe a comforting lie than confront the truth and that is how shitty people live their lives.
What makes you think anyone is in danger of losing their job? Red voters vote red every time. If you're saying there should be a limit to how much bullshit they will put up with from their reps then I agree. However, history says there isn't.

I feel better after reading it. I don't know if that makes me a bad person but hey, I'm a person so it counts.
Fuck you WaPo. You helped him win so now you can gargle his balls until you choke on them. Bezos and the rest of the billionaires were fine with the fascism when they thought they could insulate themselves from the fallout. I don't want to hear your complaints now that you're having to deal with tariffs.
Ah nice, I get it. Thanks

Being allergic to peanuts isn't dangerous when the whole country prefers almonds.
I see you're one of those people who think all CEOs are intelligent people who rose to the top through hard work and determination.
You don't need to be smart to be a grifter. It's not doctors and scientists buying most of the snake oil.
What good is new technology if I can't place it behind a massive paywall and generate obscene wealth with it? You expect my dragon hoard to stay confined to one castle like I'm some kind of peasant?
Why don't you save everyone some time and say it yourself?
It didn't work at all and that's how I know it's working
While "the media" certainly has its issues, it's more of a convenient scapegoat than the root of the problem. Enough of us have access to all the information we could ever need to know this man was bad news and we decided it wasn't worth the effort. You can blame the media for not making it easier but ultimately we didn't do our jobs and become educated voters. That is our collective fault and no one else's.
I understand the situation at hand. I don't understand what you're suggesting I do though. There are Republicans everywhere in America. There is no place to move to get away from them. I don't really want to either. I'll tell them their ideas are ridiculous until they lock me up or kill me. I'm not running away from the fascists. That's how they win.
You joke, but wouldn't you prefer a less aggressive snake if you had no choice but to live with a snake?
Yes that's correct. It's also the place where Republicans recently rejected some anti-trans laws, which they could have easily passed, after an impassioned speech from a trans representative that we also recently elected. Things aren't always black and white.
