At this point they could release video of Trump fucking kids and nothing would happen.

Oh, something would happen. His supporters would try to pretend he is some sort of hero for fucking children and punish anyone who uses words like "rape", "sexual assault", or "predator" to describe Trump or the contents of the video.

They would say "Some children getting fucked is worth it"

The kids would be labeled dirtbags and scum

Trump is a narcissist in the highest position of power.
He will do ANYTHING to protect his own interests.
Threatening your 1st amendment rights is of no more concern to him than who is folding his laundry.
It isn’t that this isn’t significant—it is. It is just important that he doesn’t get the response he wants, which is to save his own ass by attacking our rights.

And if you don't react to it, like you suggest, you lost your rights. That's FAR more important than Trump's ego.
