I don't think I've ever met anyone that actually likes a Clinton. Granted, I'm not from the US, but I'm counting online in this.
- Bill is why I realized politics was something to pay attention to.
  For kids who saw him go on MTV, play the sax, and actually listen to and answer questions from the youth, it was fucking huge. That any presidential candidate would address the youth got an entire generation to start paying attention.
  Then all the shit with Lewinsky I wasn't old enough to really understand, but I knew he lied under oath, and all the Dems closed ranks and protected him. And that was the first time I thought "both sides" were just fucking liars.
  So, long story short:
  That shit over 30 years paved the way for trump.
  If a Clinton had never held political office in America we'd be nowhere close to where we are today.
  Which is why it's so common for Dems today to not give a single fuck about Bill.
  He killed our party and set us down this path. Fuck him and every single politician from his neoliberal wing.
  
  I'm going to add a little nuance here, hopefully without opposing your point. Clinton was played like a fiddle by Newt Gingrich and his band of hucksters. He was the start of truly aggressive, unrelenting, "whatever it takes to win" republicanism in the modern era. They got wind of a sex scandal, and absolutely blew it up as the biggest thing to ever happen. They controlled the narrative and had all of America clutching its collective pearls. Then, they hauled him into one of these dog-and-pony-show hearings, and set the trap. Bill idiotically walked right into it, perjuring himself in what was really a useless stunt. This gave the Gingrich Gang all the ammo they needed to force an impeachment vote and destroy the Democratic Party for generations. So, it's not that Bill is singularly responsible for the current shit show, but his hubris and idiocy made the downfall possible.

  You’re both-sides-ing legal sexual impropriety versus literal insurrection, stealing secret documents, and election tampering. They aren’t even remotely the same. Bill did the same bad shit so many presidents have done; it doesn’t excuse him from being a douchebag, but even you have to admit it’s not even in the same universe as Trump.
