I'm personally in favor of !privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com
- fits the theme of the instance
- is not on .ml
- is not on .world
- 3 different active mods
- no power tripping noted so far
- 2nd most active community after !privacy@lemmy.ml
!privacyguides@lemmy.one admin has been quiet for a while, the instance seems to be running on auto-pilot, https://lemmy.one/c/meta has no communication from the admins since a long time
Programming.dev is still running Lemmy 0.19.5, and they had a quite severe issue of database corruption for 3 months. Thankfully, it's solved since (https://programming.dev/post/20515601)

Not on the .ml Tankie instance and not on the giant centralized hub of .world, The only 2 reasons needed LMAO
15 1 ReplyI think I'll never get why you are still using an account on .world, while you are always quite critical towards the LW centralization 😄
17 0 ReplyI've got plans to move, just waiting till I launch my own instance...when I get to it on my long to-do project list lmao
8 0 ReplyYou should maybe consider switching to another instance "in the meantime"
5 0 ReplyOr piefed! ;)
Theres a lot of good servers both on lemmy and piefed, but the mod tools are really good on piefed.

Switching is a pain tbh
2 0 ReplyUsually takes me a few minutes to export/import the settings to a new alt, not sure how it is on Mbin

Before seeing the arguments I saw the ml community and thought "privacy advocates that also are pro state sponsored backdoors?"
Glad I'm not the only one
