The whole "toilet seat up, toilet seat down" gender debate could be solved by everybody putting the seat and lid down.

It could also be resolved by everybody agreeing to be responsible for the toilet when they go to use it.

Don't get me wrong. When I have female company, I do my best to leave the seat down.

I've only ever been chided on the issue once or twice in my life.

In my opinion it's on you to make sure the bathroom is ready for you when you go to use it.
