Literally who gives a shit. It's just a word. It only holds as much power as YOU give it. I am so sick and tired of the constant need to "protect" everyone by making words "bad". First we called them stupid, then we called them *removed*, then it was mentally disabled, then it was special needs and now it's sped. Guess what. The kids are already using sped as a replacement for calling someone *removed*. How long until sped is considered a slur and now the education system needs to rename that whole department? Whatever happened to teaching people "sticks and stones my break my bones but words will never hurt me"? Fucking pathetic.
