Frustrating because of all the decentralized platforms lemmy feels the closest to the original. I’m still on Reddit because there’s more there but the app fucking sucks so much.
And they just keep intentionally making using anything but they apps terrible experience.
I go there to passively consume short videos of stuff that isn't here, but fuck if I'm gonna comment or vote. I don't even sign in.
I truly don't mean this as a derogative comment, but as someone who just uses the website, and not an app, do you feel like you're absolutely need to use an app to use Lemmy?
I think they meant the Reddit app.
Well any app would still be my question, but some of them work on Lemmy as well.
Ahh, okay.
For me, mobile web browsers tend to be slower and a little more clunky when browsing Reddit or Lemmy/Kbin. Things just seem quicker in apps
The app experience is much better than the browser experience imo
I've been using the rif app with ReVanced patches and my own API key, much better than the 1st party app. Eventually it'll probably break, but it works for now!
RedReader works by default, no patches needed.
At least there's one survivor out there, geddit
If you haven't tried it, check out kbin, it has a slightly different UI which I prefer
