Damn I wish, I'm more like: Body: I'm hungry Brain: but I just ate a child sized burrito Body: don't care, want more Brain: yeah you're right, we should probably eat some more
Genuinely, what got me out of such feelings was to not eat for a day or two a few times (not in a row).
Learning the difference between real hunger and "stomach is just empty" made a BIG difference. I can basically ignore first-world hunger now without even trying. Also probably omeprasole helped, since a highly acidic stomach sucks and can turn normal hunger pains in to nasty heartburn that only certain foods can quench.
Yeah, once you get past the carb-hunger it gets easier.
Oh! That reminds me... It's probably also worth getting used to exercizing in such a condition. Getting your body used to ketosis goes a long ways to not having a major low energy slump when the carbs/sugars run out.
Of course, that also requires maintaining at least a semi-healthy level of body fat so ketosis has something to work with. Being a twig and going hungry is just going to suck in general.
I've been more in this camp for most of my life. I have no solutions, the only thing that worked for me was HRT.
Interesting, how does the HRT help? Like this?
I basically never felt satiated from eating, nor did my brain tell me what nutrients I needed. Nowadays, I will literally not be hungry for certain types of food while craving others.
For example, I used to eat an excess of greasy or unhealthy food in order to feel full (satisfy my nutrient requirements). If I tried that now on estrogen, I would not even want to eat most of the greasy food. I feel queazy at the thought of eating cake if I had any sugar that day, or of eating a burger two days in a row. I instead crave unprocessed vegetables or fruit. It's like my brain actually communicates what my body needs for the first time in my life.
