yeah you're right he would have, but thats a reflection on the voting population of america. When I watched those two Biden was clearly more intelligent, thoughtful an well spoken which is what I look for in a leader. But I guess other people just pick whoever acts more confident. As apparent by all the people judging the debate off a single out of context soundbite.

I've had this argument so many times so I wont be the one to bring examples. But if you truly believe what you said then you should be able to point to a single instance in the entire debate where trump answered a question better than biden. Please pick one and we can argue about it. I'm of the opinion that every single question biden answered was more coherent than any question trump answered. The only reason you would think otherwise is if you completely lose all logic and reasoning after hearing someone stutter or not speak loudly.
Biden would acknowledge the issue, cite policy he has already passed which addressed the issue and then speak about policy which he was working on to further address the issue. He did this for every single question.
But I guess he losses because trump makes a funny face and joke? Have some respect for yourself because i'd never be caught dead saying thats all it took to convince me.

He beat Medicare... My grandmother passed away of a brain tumor. As her symptoms progressed she struggled to form sentences and find the words she wanted to use. You could tell she knew what she wanted to say, but couldn't get it out. That's exactly what Biden looked like on that stage. You are delusional if you saw that performance and thought he was the correct candidate for the democratic party. Hell, even Biden saw that performance and decided he wasn't the correct candidate. I'm not sure where you're getting your narrative from, but you're so far from the reality that everyone saw.
Trump's performance was abysmal, as normal for Trump. Biden crashed so hard and set the bar so low that Trump was able to clear it. Someone with full faculties was able to easily dismantle Trump, as demonstrated by Kamala. Biden kept bringing the debate back to the issue of immigration. That was Trump's largest strength in polling. That's an awful debate tactic that a younger Biden wouldn't have done. Hopefully there aren't enough people like you in the DNC. I'm not looking forward to another loss in 2028 because you refuse to accept reality.

I accept reality and wouldnt run Biden/bernie/harris I'd run a decently charismatic white man in their 40s with middle of the road policy and it would win.

Its not about the correct candidate for the party, that was decided a long time ago. Its about which person is the best to lead the country out of the two people on stage. Thats it. If you walked away thinking trump was the better of the two people to lead then you're an idiot and I dont know how else to explain that to you.

No once again, you are completely wrong to what actually happened. Immigration was mentioned by Biden once as a response to a question about immigration. Every single other time was trump shoe horning immigration into his own answer.

How is this at all convincing to you? Are you even thinking when you're watching the debates or do you just sit there trying to see which candiate has the strongest aura. If you were to say I think he lost because the American public is stupid id agree but you're saying YOU think he was not the best candidate on that stage based on his intelligence which makes me heavily question what you consider to be intelligent. Please consider whats making you think this way and change it.

You sat down and watched both candidates and came away thinking that Trump was more intelligent and had more coherent and thoughts. I cannot understand this perspective from an intelligent person (which I believe you are). Was that medicare stutter really enough to sway your opinion of the entire 1:30hr debate?

I watched the entire debate. Biden struggled for a majority of it. I'm not sure if would go so far as to say Trump was more intelligent, but he could at least make his points without completely fumbling. Biden had all the characteristics of someone losing their faculties. I've seen it first hand. Like I said my grandma passed of a brain tumor, she spent those last years living with us. My other grandma passed of dementia. Biden strongly reminded me of them at that debate. The pressure was on him to show he was sharp and ready to go. Everyone, including democrats were afraid he was too old. It was his time to prove everyone wrong and he blew it. To defend him and his decision to run for reelection is to deny reality. If there was a real primary there would be a strong chance we wouldn't have Trump 2.

Yes he was old and not sharp there is no denying that. Sure another candiate would have been better im not saying that isnt the case. I'm purely pointing at the case when the only two options were trump and biden and I dont think Trump showed himself to be anything more than a rambling idiot. Even with biden stuttering and being old I still dont think thats an excuse for people to have thought Trump did well. Every time trump was asked a question he replied something that was completely irrelevant. Purely because he talks confidently and doesnt stutter he convinced people.
