Going from Tears of the Kingdom to Far Cry 5 is...quite an experience
I've played other Ubisoft games before, most recently AC Odyssey. Been on a Switch kick for a minute and smashed 200 hours in TOTK, potentially one of my favorite games ever at this point. But I wanted to switch it up and go through some of my PC backlog so I started up Far Cry 5.
The beginning was decent...but it became very apparent quickly that the entire model of the game was very, well, familiar. In that it's almost identical in gameplay design to AC Odyssey. Add to that the almost distracting number of bugs in the game - constantly have civilians that I can't liberate for no reason, and if you use a game controller the reverse and decelerate buttons for driving vehicles straight up aren't even mapped - and my opinion is that this is a subpar experience. I haven't extensively looked up other people's reviews or experiences, but I was curious to know if anyone felt similarly.

Best Source for video game soundtracks?
What is the best place for DDL or P2P video game soundtracks? If it was serving them as lossless flacs that would be great too.

TARISLAND / Vanilla Wow. Chinese Wow clone.
TLDR: A discussion about a new game that resembles WoW but with a more casual and seasonal model. The game seems to lack a clear identity, borrowing elements from different games without excelling at any of them. However, it offers an alternative for players looking for a less grind-intensive experience with enjoyable PvP. The conversation touches on nostalgia, lore, and the convenience of playing on mobile. While the game has potential, there is a desire for something revolutionary in the MMO genre that offers a fresh and universally appealing experience.

For all those who like 4x strategy and science fiction, Endless Space 2 is currently on sale at GoG
The base game is 75% off at the moment. I've played the game for around 50 hours before I got the DLC and think it's one of the most underrated 4x games, especially if you like cozy gameplay and a good story.
It's a lot more like CIV than Stellaris.

What game did you purchase because of the aesthetics but barely or never played?
I did this with Cruelty Squad, Hylics, and to a lesserextentt Underrail.
For the most part it was either the difficulty or not knowing what I should be doing.

Water temple in TOTK
Fuckin sucks, fuck this temple, worst Zelda instance since Majora's Mask water temple. Rest of the game is pretty good so far though.

What's your favorite console to play your "backed up" games on?
If you've ever checked out /r/OriginalXbox there were some pretty neat hardware mods like LCD screens on the front of the console that display current playing content.
The PS2 can play games off of an SD card with MX4SIO through the memory card slot, through USB, through SMB with a Raspberry Pi, and through an internal HDD. You don't even need a working disc drive or a hard mod.
The PS Vita has a rocking homebrew scene.
The 3DS had neat custom themes and being able to use QR codes to download games is pretty nifty.
There's also SBC Gaming devices like the RG350 and Retroid Pocket 3+ that can play a wide array of systems.
Basically I have a hard time narrowing it down. What about you? Is there one console or device you keep coming back to?
