  • To me its clear that it meant to have a successor. That is my interpretation.

  • Yes, parents should moderate their children. But the state should aid where it can. It just depends on "how". In example children should not be allowed to go into a casino. And that's by law. Or do you want a situation where this is allowed by law and then "yeaaah, parents should moderate their children, not the government".

  • Governments introduce surveillance with the reason to protect children. If they really cared about children, then they would do something on Roblox. Or are most governments not aware?

  • If Nintendo is issuing refunds, then its really bad. Even a free update that ruins a game could be a reason to refund, but this one even asks money.

  • https://connect.sdf.org/ I get an error message on login as "menu". Does anyone have an idea why?:

shell request failed on channel 0

Edit: Ah yes, probably too many accessing it at the same time.

  • Problem with the employee situation is, companies adapt to the lower cost. Later if they need more employees, they will hesitate to hire them, because it will increase cost again.

  • How can one be the CEO of a gaming division

By all respect, a CEO does not need to be a gamer. Also 18 hours versus your 200... Maybe she does not have the same time as you to play? I honestly don't know why people think that a CEO have to be this junky like us and play all day long.

  • I didn't expect such a good fight in Tears, after the battle in Breath. BTW I completely ignored Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, until 2024 / 2025. And in fact, in the beginning I "hated" Breath for some of the concepts like breaking weapons and no classic dungeons. But I'm so glad to played them, because they are great experiences in their own right. Shows we should not judge too fast.

The last dungeon theme of Tears, when you enter the flying Castle on the outside, also impressed me a lot. And yes, the story, as it unfolds the truth (we don't spoil here.. :-)) was heart breaking, a feeling I never had before in a Zelda game. As to which is my favorite Zelda game? I really don't know anymore. There are couple of games I need to play, especially Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. There was a time in my life when I didn't play much games... and I missed some of the greatest classics.

  • I can recommend you to play A Link Between Worlds on the 3DS. It is a successor of some kind, playing in the same world. And man, the Dark World music remix is excellent.

  • Also Final Fantasy 6 has a mind blowing moment of this scale too. Nowadays one expect games to be big and we know beforehand how long it takes to finish them. One of the downsides of the internet.

  • The game is single player game, not like their previous multiplayer game. It's entirely possible they pull an Activision-ass-move, where they released games on launch without microtransactions to get good reviews and then added them shortly after. I am not arguing this could not happen. On the other side, there are good stories too. In example Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order from E.A. never had microtransactions.

  • Zelda A Link To the Past was for a very long time my favorite game of all time. There are so many great moments during all Zelda games I played, but one particular moment still is my favorite. See, back then I didn't own a console and could only play A Link to the Past on the friends SNES whenever I visit him. It was also my first Action Adventure game I ever played and I didn't know games could be this big.

The moment was, when I defeated Agahnim for the first time (after the 3 medallions) I thought that I finished the game. What happened next was unbelievable. (Sounds like clickbait YouTube title, lol, but I try to avoid any spoilers... just by principle.)

  • They already commented that the game will not have microtransactions (at least on launch, who knows what happens later...). You buy the game fully and that's it.

  • You can most likely customize the controls. So that is not really a critique in my opinion.

  • How can you judge the game to be bland, shallow and generic? I think people are judging too early too much. Just wait and see.

  • To me there are lot of elements that reminds me Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The several last times I was hyped for a game was either a disappointment at best or a disaster. Just wait until game comes out. There is not much to think about the game.

  • I would have purchased and played it, since I played the first game and "semi" liked it as a Star Wars fan. Even with the technical issues. Game was on sale for 8.38 Euros on Steam. Why didn't I buy? Simply because it "Requires 3rd-Party Account: EA Account" and "Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: EA online activation and EA app software installation and background use required". Which is a deal breaker for me.

  • This is even more stupid than Microsoft shutting down studios. It makes literally no sense.

  • I am actually aware of parallel and use it for a different tool / script I built. The purpose of parallel is different than xargs, right? I mean xargs works on each line of a stdout string, which is what I was using it for. I never thought parallel as an alternative to xargs and need to investigate into this idea more. Thanks.
