  • The company you seemed to be implying was astroturfing in the parent post when you said this and followed it up with a solid description of how shitty they are as a company.

I was kind of surprised that they tried to astroturf here.

  • It happens frequently in a few communities, especially in the one we are currently in. I'm currently expecting this one to be deleted by tomorrow as a joke.

  • Wait, are you saying that you think nestle had a direct hand in that post?

Seemed like a comical idea of eating way too much candy using something that was flat because the shape worked.

  • Yes, it implies the vicar has a drinking problem.

  • I remember when 32mb memory sticks were considered a chocking hazard.

  • Feels like there has to be a cause and effect, and the only info we know of is that the backup to scrivener the day prior.

Guess we should jump to conclusions then!

  • Jack Smith's case was Trump retaining classified documents, not elections.

  • There are more bi guys than society recognizes though.

  • That makes zero sense. Why would a company like Google care about a few MB or less of text files?

  • It sure is a good thing the Dems took the high road and didn't have the DoJ prosecute Trump for trying to overthrow the election because that would have led to the current administration fabricating charges against Dems!

  • However, from my point of view, the Internet has been steadily turning to garbage for a long time. We’ve reached the point where it’s starting to take human society down with it. LLMs are just the latest turd in the pile of shit.

The more the general population uses it to communicate with each other the more it reflects all of the negative parts of society that are based on ignorance and lack of empathy. Sadly, the majority of people need others to exist in the same space to even have a chance of considering them to be people. We already know how often that doesn't happen even in person...

  • LLMs make the problem even worse because of the instant responses and opportunity to ask follow up questions about how right you are and wrong everyone else is.

  • That doesn't make it better, that means the roads are too fast for safety.

  • The first Marvel Avengers movie. Skipped it in theaters because it sounded too much like fans being super happy they got their team up movie. So many similar movies had been hyped up over the years, and the description was similar.

Nope, it really was that good even with a sky beam and an enemy army that all died when the central ship was destroyed. The pacing, interteam conflicts, and clever use of Loki were all done extremely well and the movie holds up.

  • They’re literally promissory notes in lieu of cash.

What you said literally means "instead of cash".

They’re literally promissory notes in lieu of cash.

They are NOT cash if they are something to exchange instead of cash. More likely you bank notes are considered cash, but your bank notes are also not checks. Because checks are not cash.

  • They’re literally promissory notes in lieu of cash.

Do you call your bank notes checks? I was explicitly disputing checks.

We have paper money that is cash. Sounds like you don't have that, but that doesn't mean checks are cash.

  • You have that backwards.

Everyone except for you knows that checks aren't cash.

  • has/been

  • Cash is cash, as in paper or coin money.

Checks are not cash, they are paper that represents money, generally issued by banks.

    Checks are not cash.
