When season 4 was released, exclusively on Netflix, each episode was plagued with minutes of recap footage that made no sense in a streaming series. Then the season was recut into the "Fateful Consequences" version that was supposed to remedy that, but it turned out (arguably) even worse.
I am of the minority who prefers this over the Cash cover.
From what I understand, this is a Bing bug feature that makes its way "downstream" to DuckDuckGo results. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

As much as I wanted to like Tesseract, this was basically my ultimate reaction to it. It was great that it included so many genuinely useful features that are not found in the default Lemmy UI, but the end result was a busy screen of ambiguous unlabeled buttons and many modals. The more minimal and information-dense Lemmy UI was preferable to even the most compact Tesseract setting for my day-to-day use.
What do you mean by "color lines"? Are you saying that it is difficult to tell which comment is the parent of a given comment?
Any time I see a lifetime subscription, I think to myself "Is that supposed to last for my lifetime, or your lifetime?"
I remember before the Steam Deck was released, and people were discussing all the potential capabilities of the upcoming device, it was often asked if this might be a feature. Of course, there were the usual "It's a PC, so yes" answers, but the more accurate answers along the lines of "If it's not, someone will make it work" are finally coming true now.
Aside from being barely more than basic blogspam, the author was caught abusing their position as a mod, quit Lemmy, then complained about the fact that the modlog here is public lol

What does this mean in terms of this community being archived or whatever? This is probably more of a question about how Lemmy/ActivityPub work, but after Dubvee is shut down, will I still be able to see my old posts by visiting https://lemmy.sdf.org/c/30rock@dubvee.org or something? Will I be able to crosspost those old posts to a new 30 Rock community, or will I have to post them from scratch?
Where are you seeing mention that the coma contributed to the choice to discontinue? I see in the !30rock@dubvee.org post that the community will be shut down despite the fact that the only mod is not able to even protest that decision or anything, but no other mention.
How would a web browser achieve that? The only thing I can think of is for the browser to choose what sort of web content should be filtered out and what should actually be displayed to the user, which I think we all agree is not what you would want your browser to choose.

Almost. My Blu-ray rips are subtitled with PGS/SUP, which apparently uses an image for subtitles instead of simple plain text like SRT. So I found a program called sup2srt which uses an OCR engine to convert the subtitle images to SRT, which I can then load into the database that this site uses. But, there are some issues with that:
- Obviously, OCR is imperfect. It did a great job overall, but there were still a lot of things that need to be fixed
- Most seasons, the subtitles are ALL CAPS.
- There are a few scenes with hardcoded subtitles (such as the scene in Queen of Jordan in which Jack/Liz are whispering). These lines are not part of the subtitle file
I made some quick Python scripts that go through all the script files to fix common mistakes, but I am also slowly going through each script individually to manually revise them.
Haven't had much opportunity to have nails driven into my testicles.
I preferred the monster of the week episodes of both series, but that may just be me.

Pronounced like “Erin”, it’s a name that we feel is more befitting of the project. Pulling from multiple etymologies, it’s a name that better describes the project now versus the project that started as Serpent OS.
“Aer” is rather obvious, Latin in origin. The phonetic “Erin” is a nod to the Irish roots of the project, and of course a home. There are a number of reasons for the name, which will form part of the initial documentation on the new website.
Our intent is to have a name that is more inviting, and more descriptive of the project’s goals and aspirations. We’re not anti-establishment or anti-corporation - if anything, we’re a statement that without the fiscal handcuffs, we can produce a technically sound and user-friendly operating system.

Oof, regardless of OS, it is smart to keep your important files off of your OS drive. Yeah, an external drive is one way to do that.
