  • EndeavourOS iso also does the same thing but with half the size.

  • Now that I think about it, the decline of ubuntu began when they inserted amazon affiliate links in their ui a long time ago. The final straw for me is forcing snaps when attempting to install some apps via apt. I replaced all my ubuntu machines with debian without any issue.

  • Whelp, if you're on desktop, you can always use autohotkey or similar app to assign a shortcut to automatically type that signature.

  • Wtf?! You copy and paste them manually? I thought you were using an app that let you set footer/signature.

  • When reddit fuck up again, the alternatives are already pretty mature, at least compared to last year. Back then the only app we have was jerboa (and it was pretty shitty back then too, unlike now). Now we have gazillion of lemmy apps that can suit everyone taste.

  • I bought their $20 tws recently and it's not bad for the price. They're more like budget audiophile brands.

  • So, it's like folding@home, but instead of donating your spare compute to science, you sell it to generate porn?

  • I never heard of consumer apps doing this. I'm not familiar with foundry, but it seems their target audience are companies? Cracking hard on companies that use unlicensed copy is very common in b2b world. Microsoft, Oracle, etc all doing this to companies, threatening to "audit" them when they detect unlicensed uses from the company's ip address.

  • There is a possibility that the game actually has a hidden "production mode" where it allows offline play. Make sense though because the game developers must be able to run the game during production where the server hasn't been up yet. Research into the possibility of reenabling this mode in retail build seems to be losing steam though. Looks like it picked up some steam again: https://steamcommunity.com/app/241560/discussions/0/4306075118785997064/

  • Articles like this popped every once in a while until bored japan cops become a meme at this point.

  • This is probably hardware-specific, but I installed void linux on my thinkpad x1 last week, and it can't shutdown or wake up from sleep until I disabled tpm 2.0 from bios. Very weird. Other distros I tried so far didn't have this problem.

  • windows 11: doesn't work without tpm 2.0

(some) linux distro: doesn't work if tpm 2.0 enabled

  • Cops in japan literally has nothing to do. I bet they're excited to finally see some action.

  • Afaik there is no crack for The Crew because it stored your progress on ubisoft's server and has no local save data.

  • I can't believe they double down on this. It seems ubisoft's management actually thrives on gamers' rage.

  • Unihertz rarely mentioned in discussion about small phones. I wonder why.

  • This sounds better than I expected!

  • This phone seems to have the biggest external display compared to other flip phones. So it's completely usable with just the external display? No issue with apps when used from the external display (other than being small)? Can you type and reply to messages and place calls from the external display?
