It literally advertises itself as "opinionated" and is being pushed as "non-woke" (whatever the fuck that means). It's funded by Cloudfare, not simply because the distro needs money, but also because the developer is opposed to torrenting. It has closed-source chatbots like ChatGPT and Grok pre-installed into it. These are all political positions and choices.
And it's certainly a political choice to give your money to it and wear the merch (which are just advertisements you pay for the privilege to wear). Don't be surprised if someone assumed you're a Nick Fuentes fan if they recognize your swag.
Kind of what I expected. Iran has all the cards here, and the US was already starting from a poor negotiating position due to Israel's aggression against Lebanon. Iran agreeing to anything right now would have meant taking a loss for no reason.
I notice you glossed over all the other political aspects of selling sheep cheese that they listed.
The price is political. Who you sell to is political. Who milks the sheep is political. Zoning for sheep grazing is political. Property is political. Feed is political. Animal welfare is political. Owning animals is political. It's all politics, all the way down.
Any time people are involved, politics follow. "Apolitical" is a lie told by people who want their politics to just be "normal".
It could definitely cause a massive fire someday. Some home brewer blows up in California during a drought and suddenly you've got another wildfire in an urban area.
... but it probably was about taxes. The US doesn't give a shit about public safety.
The problem wasn't the individual blowing themselves up, it's the individual starting a massive fire that spreads to surrounding structures. That's less of a problem with modern fire suppression and building materials, though, so what made sense 158 years ago probably isn't as big of a concern.
We're talking about exploration. Satellites aren't exploring anything, they're basically just infrastructure.
As is depicted in the OP's picture, I'm specifically talking about sending humans to space, and additionally, using them to explore deeper into space. It's mostly pointless as anything other than a propaganda tool. Anything that can be discovered by sending humans out in space can be discovered by humans on Earth.
The space station might need humans on it to maintain it, but again, the station isn't exploring anything.
... wait, was doublethink just a misunderstanding of the unity of opposites?
In dialectical materialism, war is defined by peace and peace is defined by war. Each contains its opposite. That's not to say they're the same thing, they're contradictions, but you can't have war without peace anymore than you could have night without day.
They've overused sanctions and have kickstarted dedollarization. For the same reason they kidnapped Maduro, they only had few years before it reached an irreversible tipping point. They had to capture Iran's oil and monopolize it to keep the petrodollar alive.
And.
Iran was becoming a harder and harder target to attack militarily, and it had just defeated their attempt at color revolution by demonstrating it could defeat their Starlink operation on the ground. The longer they waited, the more rockets and missiles Iran would have to retaliate against US assets. The post-color revolutionary period was actually the weakest Iran would ever be ever again.
And.
China is a rising juggernaut, and Iran plays a role in that rise. They've signed on to join the Belt and Road initiative, China was key to restoring relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Iran is a key oil supplier for China, Iran is a member of BRICS, and China has also been investing heavily in Iran's infrastructure. It wouldn't be long before the sanctions didn't even matter anymore because Iran will be able to sell and buy everything it needs without the West.
And.
Israel is no longer a viable settler project. The promise of Israel was that it would be a walled garden in the wilderness, an imperial core lifestyle with superior fire power and a perfect missile defense system and an omniscient surveillance system. Hamas blew that myth up during the Al Aqsa flood, now Israel isn't getting new settlers anymore and many settlers are trying to leave. It's why they've had to ban Israelis from flying out of the country. If the Axis of Resistance isn't destroyed, Israel is finished.
And I'm sure there's more. Basically, if Iran doesn't fall within the next few months, the US empire will begin an irreversible decline.
