Do many people in US have A/C at home?
Its so hot I woke up two times at night, gave up and turned on a/c

That's terrible ignorance from their side, I am sure you will be able to find more people since you already managed to. I don't have anyone like that for more than 3 years not even mates
In my place they call just to remind that I have a doctor appointment next day. Its useless, waste of time and scares me as hell cos phone numbers always different . Beside that I have Reminders via SMS and Email. I am yet to figure out how to make them stop calling me

I went to 6 different medical tests/exams since last week. In 5 different clinics in 4 different cities and I hope its finally over and I have Hashimoto disease and nothing else.
