I would love to see an alternative for google maps where openstreetmap is not enough. So a system where you can post reviews, photos, menus of locations etc.
I am not too sure about this. I doubt half of the comments is written by LLMs. I just think Lemmy is much more left-leaning than reddit was. Israel was always polarizing in the left, since Oct 7 this has become much worse. I really miss a critical view on the conflicts here. I feel people need to divide every topic into 2 contrary views, it is always black or white. The enemy of my enemy is my friend - so they rather sympathize with Iran than with Israel or the west™ in general. I don't think this has to do with education, and I highly doubt the average education of redditors is very high. Reddit is mainstream nowadays, the user base is basically old Facebook minus the boomers.
Honestly, I would prefer Lemmy every day over reddit, because I believe in a free user controlled space without big corp. However I instance blocked lemmy.ml and always think twice before engaging in a political discussion. But sometimes, like in this case, people are so blind and stupid that I can't shut my mouth.
I think they make cloud gaming very cheap, so that at one point you just rent a system and can play all the AAA titles with Ultra graphics for like 20€ a month, so it's not worth it anymore for the common gamer to invest into PC components. Then after they got you locked in the service will drastically enshittify. This in combination with locked up OSes due to all the age verification and think of the children surveillance. I am not saying it is likely to happen in the next 5 years, but at one day maybe? I mean the children nowadays are growing up with IPads and stuff, if they want to game they buy a console or a steam machine. When I was a kid it would have never been possible for me to afford a PC for gaming at these prices.
I guess it depends on the viewer/app you are using to access the Threadiverse. I use the Voyager mobile app on Android, but the setting should be available on iOS and the web viewer too.
I have French A1, Spanish B1/B2 and English C1 levels, while being a German native speaker. It will be hard for me to really comprehend Spanish written books that are not written specifically for teaching language. In English I can read more difficult non-fiction, but I need to look up some terms every few pages. Hell, even me being a native German speaker does not mean I understand every German book.
with understanding not only the contents written but infer on the novels concepts and relay reading comprehension akin to a native speaker
I specifically made sure there are cheap alternatives to the original heads before I bought my tooth brush. Many companies didn't enshittify because they were shit from the beginning.
Maybe enterprise support? It know this is important for many companies or governmental agencies.
