These days i sometimes get sad from the things happening in the world. Those moments i try and remind myself that despite all those things happening, at least my country isn't run by US politicians.
I would be so pissed if my country was ruled by another country and that other country forced our country to leave the EU despite the majority of my country voting to stay.
When Trump first started talking about pulling out of the deal (by Obama's administration) between the US and Iran i was confused, how was no deal better than a deal that, according to Trump, wasn't good enough. I guess this guy is just helping the people who are still confused.
I have found them useful from time to time, i turned them off because I know where to find the switch button and for environmental reasons it would be way better to force this on everyone - but knowing a lot of people might not find this button, or even look for it, i could also see how some users might be lured (back) to the big tech alternative.
Also for us a box where you type in a search query is different as a box where you start a conversation, but i think this difference will only grow smaller - just like how desktop web pages changed appearance because of mobile-first design. Not saying you have to like it of course, but i can see the business decision here choosing growth over principles. Them getting a bigger market share is, imo, more important than them having a small carbon footprint.
No discredit to the NYT overall, but purely on covering the things happening in Berlin I would say consider they aren't the best medium to cover this / the best source to inform this particular community. Would have really liked it if they would've related this to the culture-war they have at home. I mean the way the left and the right each have taken their side of the electorate hostage preventing the formation of a middle-ground isn't dissimilar to that in other polarized discussions.
Isn't basically all of Africa and Asia supporting his arrest? I feel this map made every country not part of the western world grey, as in 'we dont now the data or don't care about it'.
