  • I’m also a layman - I didn’t finish training to become a private pilot.

    Thinking about this, it IS possible that he held a commercial certificate and it got revoked because his DPE was caught doing something shady and the FAA invalidated all certa issued by the DPE, pending a new checkride. It’s happened before.

    I’m not sure how it would show up in the website though.

  • I mean, I’m pretty sure you can fly at night using VFR. I’m not sure why they made that comment about night flying and IFR. It’s probably better practice to file IFR, but it’s not required.

    But yes, I only found one Bryan Bedford and there is no commercial cert.

  • Maybe I was being too pedantic. The point was, they are committing an unnecessary genocide.

    To annex a land you can do things like displace the people, enslave a people, commit genocide, etc. Genocide is not strictly necessary. They could have tried displacing them into other countries before bombing the shit out of basically the entire strip.

    I’m not saying mass murder has never been used in annexation but calling it annexing undersells the fact that they are committing a genocide

    Is Vr the same for regular and short take off landing procedures? I was under the impression that they were different, and therefore you wouldn’t actually get off the ground if you required short take off (IIRC most passenger planes are short take off to minimize runway distance).

    The other thing is, checking flaps is part of the standard preflight checklist. I don’t know if you can see the flaps for the 787 from the cockpit or not. Take following with silo of salt because I do not hold an ATP, but if you can’t, out sounds like another Air India maintenance catatrophe
