  • I presumed that was what you meant. There are keywords, and emoji-mart supports them and will search in them. So even though the name for

is "all-cops-always-bastards," searching for "martin" will bring it up.

It does require there to be keywords. For example,

doesn't have any, which makes it hard to find when all you're thinking of is "eyes." ... Should ask the admins to add eyes to the keywords of that one.

  • Thank you for the icon suggestion. I have gone with it and have submitted the addon for review on AMO.

    In what way?

  • The "input" (where to get the emoji list from) has to be a lemmy instance.

The ouput is markdown, copied to your clipboard. So anywhere that accepts ![]() markdown images will work. Probably not whatsapp.

  • I did kinda think about it, but I'm not really sure. I could take another look at it though.

  • Hello everyone. I am working on an extension to help with emojies when not on hexbear (primarily, it could also be used to get emojies from any other instance, e.g. LES/hexcat)

  • The fascist seizure of Colombia was far more brutal and had far less popular support than the communist mastery of Czechoslovakia. In Colombia 500 people were killed and millions of dollars worth of property destroyed during the riots, and many hundreds of others were killed during the gradual mastery of the state. But the advance of fascism to the Panama Canal itself did not cause a wave of anger and fear to sweep through Washington and the West. This was due to two reasons: fascism was not then led by a great power; and, in the main, it preserves the privileges of the upper classes, instead of turning the social structure upside down.

He... he said it? Fleming actually said it?? A liberal somehow coming to this conclusion? Must have been a chilly day in hell.

  • There are actually people that make robot motorized tails, e.g. https://thetailcompany.com/

They look really cool. And kinda expensive.

  • I found an opportunity of talking to [Mussolini] about Spain, and suggesting that the Four-Power Conference should call on the 2 sides to observe a truce, while we helped them to find terms of settlement. He promised to think over this suggestion, which I afterwards made also to Hitler, but he told me that he was “fed up” with Spain, where he had lost 50,000 men in dead and wounded, that he was sick of Franco, who continually threw away all chances of victory, that he had no territorial claims there whatever, that he was satisfied that there was now no chance of Bolshevism getting the upper hand, and that he was very shortly going to withdraw 10,000 men.

  • It's def. not an OCR error. We'd see other classic OCR errors if it was, 1 I and l are regularly mistaken for each other. I've seen Vol. I become Vol. 1 some amount of times.

Also if it was an OCR error, then... would it be a 2? So like she was 29 yo?

  • Yeah. As the comment I linked to said you can also use guix on top of debian or arch or something, depending on what you need.
