The T60 saga continues. Finding the last batch of CD/DVDs we had was a small journey in itself. Also a brief stint with the GPU in my tower not working (second GPU I have in it because the first one had problems, I may be cursed with this). But I have finally burnt the ~5MB ISO to a CD, booted from it in the T60, and successfully updated the BIOS.

Continuation of the Gentoo T60 sagaThe T60 can apparently be upgraded to run with a T7600,[1] an intel Core 2 Duo. The Core 2, unlike the Core [1] that is in mine currently, is 64 bit! Also the paste on the cpu currently, I'd assume is pretty crusty and old, so getting it changed is also going to be good.But it requires a bios upgrade. It seems the bios upgrade can either be done through a windows install (like the person in the blog did) or through a CD. So I put a CD/DVD drive I had into my tower so I could burn it. Was not easy, also had to run some new power cables for it.
Now that I'm sitting here and thinking about it... I didn't need to do that, I could probably just have used the T60's drive to write to a CD... oh well.

Acute_Engles is making a vague post as an example, you haven't done anything wrong. In this example—especially if as he said he had posted it as a top level comment in the megathread instead of a reply to you—rather than directly address you and what you said, he "vaguely" talked about you. Instead of saying "lelkins" he said "someone." If a person didn't know that you had made the first comment, they also wouldn't know why he said it. This is somewhat of a vague post, where rather than directly engage with the thing you say something indirectly about it.
