  • These Pro ICE fuckers are the scum of the earth. I know of someone who got stabbed by a Pro-ICE protester standing on the street last week

  • If you can hike part of the superior hiking trail do it. It's stunning and super nice

  • I am going to give you two book recommendations that I think should be done in this order: Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat and The Wok

Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat is great because it talks and about what is needed for all recipes (it's title). It talks about food science and theory so you can understand techniques and understand what each thing in a recipe does. It does have generic recipes that you can modify as well "lessons" to walk through what you learned.

The Wok is similar but just about using a Wok. I love the wide variety of things you can make with the wok. It also gives you some sidebars about how to shop of ingredients, sauces and how to chop for the recipes. It also talks techniques with then example recipes. Read both and try them out

  • While I appreciate the idea. Halloween happens to be based on Samhain which is the midpoint between the Autumnal Equinox and Winter Solstice.

The best method would be to rearrange the whole calendar so it's always on a Friday. We would then have static days of the week for all dates as well

  • LemmyNSFW was the perfect example of a single subject instance. So much so that it was the only NSFW instance and another one is needed

  • I would say something lunar based would be natural.

The harvest would depend on the plant. You can really harvest something most of the year

  • Really the only ones

  • I think we are so conditioned to think that break ups or endings must be high conflict in relationships with a bad guy and a good guy. This is an example of two people both doing the right thing and not working.

You both went on a real life date instead of texting forever and wasting emotional energy before a face to face meeting. You both tested your physical chemistry early. You wanted to keep going out so you planned more dates. She did not and told you so. You handled it with grace and respect. All around best case scenario for two people to not continue dating.

Who knows maybe you will run into her at a bar and her friend will be interested in you. You have shown yourself to be a good person. She might vouch for you but even if not good vibes are out there. This was a success not a total success but a success

  • If you see a random plant that smells like carrot it's likely poisonous.

  • In a serious drama no less

  • I feel like bloopers during the credits had their moments and then fell away just as fast

  • Isn't nature wonderful and strange

  • I didn't think those whistles were 3D printed but that makes sense. The spontaneous community building and support is amazing

  • I have moved two computers from Windows into Mint this year. One worked without any issues. One had a strange WiFi problem with a super old wifi chip but I bought an adaptor for less than $20 that fixed it. Both computers connect to my printer better than with Windows. Which was a present surprise.

  • Its free. You just need to enter your email address. Big fan of 404media

  • I don't have any specific memories of the early internet but I do remember DOS on the family computer. Having to remember the paths to run the shareware programs we wanted to run on a floppy

  • Good image terrible title. Body count gives me the ick
