I like bickering about useless nonsense with people who most definitely will not be changing their minds. Yes, I know it's a waste of time. No, I don't plan on stopping.

🇨🇦 (He/Him)

  • what is the right's obsession with boys playing with dolls?

It’s knuckle-dragging groupthink, mostly. Bigotry being passed on to new generations and all that. Right-wing leaders see it more clinically, though, since they can guide the idiots into pushing their agenda with what essentially amounts to a magnet. An ouroboros of shitfuck.

  • It's way too easy to get nicotine from anyone with the means to buy it for you, so I wouldn't necessarily blame the parents. Just all around shitty behaviour and good ol' laissez faire capitalism.

  • This would be such an extreme warping of reality that it’s essentially impossible to make any assumptions about what it would entail like this. You know the joke about a time traveller moving a rock? Yeah, that times a million.

  • Can we go back to ridiculing and ostracizing the village idiots instead of letting them amalgamate into a hivemind? Thanks

  • There seriously needs to be a cable Geneva convention for bs like this, it’s like the PC-building equivalent of the trench shotgun

  • If there's one thing to take from Tolkien, it's that evil always destroys itself through its own hubris.

  • It’s a joke, there isn’t any “suggestion”. Pretty pointless to one-up that here

  • That's very fair, it's definitely in the vein of what LLMs are (theoretically) meant for, i.e. summarization and language parsing/analysis. I find that LLMs work pretty well for translation too. It's just a shame that executives have run it to the ground like they usually do. And the people poisoning us are the same ones treating it in this case.

  • "I will be leaving my post as MP to better apply my focus to fighting climate change."

"But don't you think staying in the government is more practical so you ca-"

    "Shut up."

  • One of the core reasons I refuse to jump off a tall bridge is so I can read headlines like this

  • You mean the YouTube that dumps out AI summaries of the videos you're on their platform specifically to watch directly? That YouTube?

Surely they aren't a company composed of two-faced slimeballs like their parent. That would be unheard of.

  • This was actually the norm during the so-called “golden age of capitalism” in the US funnily enough. The higher margins of the wealthy were taxed upwards of 90% and what do you know, it led to prosperity.

  • Waiter! Waiter! I'll have my billionaire with a side of politician, please!

  • Had to double-check the headline to make sure I didn't have a brain aneurysm

  • If these people heard about ancient Greek/Roman culture they would have a stroke

  • Once an executive, always an executive. Leech your way to the top until you can be as slimy as you want.

  • This is basically you right now
