  • Well Loblaws is a REIT as well, and I believe their margins are far higher on that, which raises top line margins.

The REIT does well due to our government zoning policy, which has caused massive urban sprawl and extremely high commercial real estate prices. Likely also causing a lack of competition and higher prices for goods, like everything in Canada it became an oligopoly.

  • Isnt it usually the case historically that when oil prices spiked our dollar value spiked, any idea why that ceased happening?

I'd assumed because we have a muted business investment into Canada, which ties in with the other charts.

  • Its weird how everything Microsoft makes is pure garbage. I had to learn Intune recently and despite being a relatively new product I was surprised how shit everything was, missing basic functionality. Windows Server keeps getting worse and worse as well every iteration, and its become so terribly unintuitive I have no idea what it is they are doing.

Then Windows updates keep breaking things, likely because Windows is layers upon layers of broken code and terrible hacks that any change causes a cascade of problems.

  • I remember when Trump threatened tariffs on Canada of 25%, I went to work that day and was freaking out. Most people didnt know, didnt care, and just went on like normal; as if 80% of our exports didnt flow to the US.

  • Why include the percent foreign born then if that wasnt the point.

  • Gitlab has Draw.IO integration, as does Wiki.JS.

  • One Punch Man did it better.

At least before the new season...

  • Ah really, same as Canada, thats interesting.

  • I didnt make the website. What is cherry picked?

  • Many people do believe in per country caps, to prevent things like the extortion in Surrey via organized crime, or a loss of existing culture. I dont know if culture is based on race as much as it is their country, Indians born in Canada are going to be different than those born in other country I assume.

  • I assumed it was talking about the lack of births of Canadians, due to all the other charts, housing shortages, and wage debasement. What makes you assume its racism?

  • I assume its energy storage problems, and its not efficient enough to import solar and the large amount of batteries required from China yet.

Maybe if Australia keeps increasing its coal exports to China the price will come down as energy prices fall in China.

  • Doesnt Australia export oil and gas?

  • Canada needs to start importing uyghurs to build our cars. I'd heard they accept very very low pay but definitely arent slaves.

  • I learned this from a recent unnamed podcast with a certain unnamed Canadian politician.

  • I do buy games off other platforms and import them into Steam all the time.

I'll admit a 30% fee is egregious these days though, extortionate. I think it should be capped at 10%, then a further smaller cap planned every decade as technology improves.

  • The money supply grows at 7% a year, and somehow real estate prices keep going up, goods keep getting made cheaper and cheaper, food keeps degrading in quantity and quality, and we keep losing things we used to consider basic services.

I wonder if they are at all correlated.

  • Did you get to trains, thats a lot of fun.

  • How do I do this when learning piano?
