  • the fading embers of my faith in humanity

    I feel seen.

  • I couldn’t find it either. It may have been circulated within legal networks rather than as a public petition.

My guess it’s by either https://defendourjuries.net/ or the Good Law Project. Both of them have great social media accounts that break down what’s going on, what we need to be paying attention to and how to get involved. I recommend their social accounts where they post videos. They break things down very well there.

  • He has betrayed many people to get to where he is, as I’ve said already.

he’s allowed to change his opinions and hold new beliefs

I would not deny Ukraine any support. But let’s hope he does not change his mind again, as the Machiavellian types are known to do.

  • But you will also have to fight much more for your existence — not Russia’s, but your own. And this is not a threat from me or Ukraine. These are facts of Russian history that you know well: when Russia gets tired, changes happen.

    Indeed!

  • Thanks, I think it’s a work of art even if the owner doesn’t appreciate it yet 😄

  • That looks like a really good rec. I'm sensitive to flashing lights and fast animations so it's not for me, but it's my vibe. Thanks.

  • I'm glad he's challenging Irish leadership. My point to viewers is, don't assume we can trust him based on one video.

He's Irish born, but defected to the British far-right - a group which has long hated the Irish, our struggle for independence and pretty much everything we stand for. You can still call him an Irish citizen, I concede that point.

Dissemination is dissemination, not journalism. Journalism is a discipline comprised of many skills. In the age of disinformation, we do need to distinguish between those two.

  • Thanks for the recs, I appreciate it! I haven't heard of JC3 and I haven't really seen The Sims so I'll check those out.

  • Ah, I get you. I didn't think of that. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Thanks, I'm working through reviews on these :)

  • That looks like fun, thanks :)

  • He was born here, I'll give you that. But he moved away and is a dual citizen now. Yes, he's an Irish citizen but seen as a "soup taker" here by some.

He's not a journalist. He repeats other people's work and presents it as his own. He is a campaigner.

I don't understand Ukranian but am told by someone I trust that there are some easily found posts on Ukranian Facebook of him causing significant issues for some Ukrainian journalists.

  • Greetings from Ireland. Two things to note here:

    1. Sincere apologies about our asshole politicians, and the people who elect them. Really. Unfortunately this politician is not a one-off.
    2. The interviewer is not a journalist and not Irish. He takes Irish Times articles and regurgitates them as if it's his own work. He works making videos for the British far-right.
  • Yes, already commented by iknewitwhenisawit, but it's a great example that I'd forgotten. I doesn't have the damage in layers, but it does have gradual and incremental damage which is great.

  • There is, actually.

  • Both look good, but I appreciate the mention of the prebuilt vehicles because building isn't my thing. Great comment, thanks.

  • That does look good, thanks!

  • Is this real?

  • Thanks.
