  • Came here to say this. Let Amazon provide the search and reviews. We can use that but spend our money elsewhere.

At the most basic level could get the store name via the current Amazon page and then open a new tab with a search.

But ideally it would actually provide a like to their own web store. Not sure how that part would work technically.

  • Yeah. I used to get up around 6am during my early twenties. I loved it. I'd pack a snack the night before and head straight out the door at 6am to go to the sea while there were very few people up yet.

Unfortunately the people I lived with didn't go to bed until late so I couldn't get to sleep early enough, but I loved those 90 minutes of feeling like I had the world to myself.

  • I find it bizarre that nations would celebrate US events anyway. The original people of the land are still treated brutally there: treaties remain broken, stolen land has not been returned. You might as well celebrate the Nakba but uninvite Israel.

  • Too many cookie toggles for me to stay, but I thought I saw some interesting looking icons.

  • Great to see Marius & co still at the helm. It's been around ten years since life gave me other priorities, but I enjoyed their videos and their software so much. Just looking at their website and it still has appeal.

  • That's a good point. I've been voting for a party for years that started on 2-3% electoral preference. The general consensus at the time was that it would be nice to see them grow, but they're a wasted vote. They're now around 10-11% and even as opposition have impact.

We don't have FPTP where I am, but I can see from our neighbours the kinds of problems it creates. Still, once you progress beyond FPTP, the kinds of attitude problems we have here still persist. I guess you'll have a better idea of the next steps once you have proportional representation, because then you have a better idea of the government people really want.

  • I would also argue that few people have made a very good case connecting peoples concerns to capitalism. So to many it has a Southpark-ish ring to it: capitalism is bad. Don’t do capitalism. It’s an abstract thing, and abstract opponents make people feel despair and impotence.

The most persuasive people I’ve seen don’t use that word often. They directly link peoples concerns to inequality (unfair taxation and employment laws), climate ( fossil fuel companies) and unregulated abusive businesses such as big tech.

Those are not faceless, abstract entities, so people can organise their (justified) anger better.

Has anybody else heard good approaches for helping people understand ?

  • Rape - kill - steal - repeat

  • Thanks. I don’t know exactly what all that amounts to being from overseas, but if Hungary can oust Orbán then I hope the same is possible in the US. My only concern is that in spite of Trumps low rating, those people might still want MAGA, just with a different face/diaper.

  • Our algorithm’d politicians and fellow citizens are building a USA from the inside, unfortunately.

  • Another Zionist state joining. Great. More genocide washing.

  • Another benefit of the biggest offenders becoming transparent as well as liable, is that it can show smaller countries how we can follow the same pattern. It is difficult to explain to people why we should hold ourselves accountable when they point at Britain, Germany, Israel, etc and see no accountability. Best of luck (in the most genuine sense of the phrase).

  • My theory is we prefer to treat obedient and servile objects as people, and actual people as unavoidable collateral.

  • I’m not British and but seeing the calibre of people emerging lately to participate in governance, mostly via the Green Party, is a breath of fresh air. They literally put a smile on my face.

In my best London accent: Big up Zack Polanski, big up Hannah Spencer, big up all the Green-menace massif!

  • I don’t think it’s ethical to follow this one, but I’m happy to see members of the genocide collective eliminated.

  • Might as well say “Daddy issues right here”.

  • Web Development @programming.dev

    Anybody using Wordpress Studio?

  • It’s okay, we all have USB-C chargers now. /s
