  • I know you say you're sure, but that's more of an assumption really.

We know from her own words that she wouldn't do anything differently than Biden. Keeping in mind that Biden silenced and censored the USAID for calling out Israeli atrocities before Trump fully dismantled it.

And here is a report that says that Israel and the US did joint bombing drills to attack Iran under Biden (in the end, the decision by Trump to attack took only a week, there definitely were drills before that).

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/us-israeli-militaries-jointly-drilled-iran-strike-during-biden-administration-report/

So there were plans to attack Iran. And we haven't seen Kamala's actual record on militarism, but she supported the US's involvement in international security matters and constantly affirmed "Israel's right to defend itself". She never said "no" to war.

We can't say that the US would have never attacked Iran under Kamala, but we can definitely say it wouldn't be as big of a shit show and news spectacle as it is now.

  • There's additional internal pressure too - Israelis just love ethnic cleansing and they want the war on Lebanon and Iran to continue.

Even the "moderate" opposition, Lapid, is calling for the continuation of the war because 1- he'd lose on votes + support if he doesn't 2- he wants more dead children as well

  • Oh sweety, you're still confused. Here, I'll explain it slower:

    Kid1 gives kid2 a baseball bat.

    Kid2 beats up kid3 repeatedly.

Kid1 can take the bat away anytime, but doesn't. Instead, he gives kid3 candy.

It doesn't mean kid1 is doing a good job.

If you want to talk like a child, you can get treated like a child.

  • Because drumpf can't reign in a rabid dog that is supposedly the US's closest ally.

  • If you want to share your ignorance loudly and proudly, then you'll get corrected.

Canada is not doing anything to stop the systemic abuse by a fascist ethnostate, and then putting a bandaid solution of throwing money at victims who will keep dying with Canadian made weapons.

If you want to boiler plate it to "they're not doing anything and then doing something", then you're full of it.

  • That's useless - the settlers are sanctioned from Canada. These aren't global sanctions like those the US puts on people.

Sanctions on the country or stopping armaments from getting to Israel and then into settler hands is more effective.

But no no, you're more informed...you looked up "Canada Israel sanctions".

  • That's a false premise argument you just made - The OP isn't stating that money shouldn't be sent. It's that Canada should treat the primary issue on why the aid needs to be sent in the first place instead of support it with military armament.

Hope that helps clear it up.

  • Not enough genocide for their liking.

  • Money is great, but sanctions to prevent genocide is better, saves money, and penalizes the apartheid ethnostate.

  • Ah, UK courts deciding to label people as terrorists even when that wasn't the initial charge, and without a jury present (i.e. after they've already decided on criminal charges).

  • Wow, there it is...the dumbest comment I've read today.

Perfectly opinionated, shares a problem that's easily solvable but blames it on Canada Post, and so moronically wrong.

    🏆 Here's your award, friend.

  • Edit: nevermind, he's a shit poster

  • Germany and Czech are some of the biggest arms suppliers and buyers to/from Israel

What is incredibly stupid is that, sure, the topic is brought up at the EU council, but then why don't the individual states also apply sanctions?

  • Glad that lifeline has been restored, but there is no two state with settlements and the settlements are purpose-built to not allow two states.

This funding just seems to be about changing attitudes, and I wonder whose attitude they'll work on changing - the oppressed or the oppressor.

  • Didn't they pull funding from UNRWA after Israel did a massive smear campaign against it? UNRWA was literally the lifeline for Gaza.

The best way to encourage a 2 state solution is by sanctioning Israel for the genocide they're perpetrating and the apartheid they're enacting against Palestinians in Israel.

Not to mention that Israel's settlements plan is literally to subvert the chances of a 2 state solutions. So good luck with "educational lessons" to bridge the gap of distrust.

  • The person who kept on saying Canada needs closer ties to Israel while they were ethnically cleansing and killing medics in 2019?

She is very much the center to right liberal that we should not be listening to and she's definitely not the one to listen to just because she was in a few discussions regarding the last USMCA deal that she quit from.

I don't care much for money-grab books like the one she wrote praising her Nazi collaborator grandfather.

  • Why even ask the IDF as if they're not performing a genocide and ethnic cleansing.

"Uh..excuse me...Mr Hitler! Could you please explain what you meant by "the final solution"? We see that people are being shipped off on trains never to be seen, can you please expand more on that? We need your side of the story."

  • The amount of opinion pieces and fear mongering on Chinese EV cars stealing data I've seen - doesn't look like eyes shut, but actually a lot more sinophobia and more scrutiny than I've seen applied to anything else.

US funding separatists in Alberta - opinion piece saying we need stronger ties with the US

Israel spyware known to track car systems and their phone hacking software used by RCMP - MPs drafting documents to diminish EV (specifically) data collection

The US abusing it's extradition treaty to imprison Huawei CFO - opinion piece about how we need to watch out for Chinese influence and their international policing

And I'm not saying that these protections aren't important, just that now it's a big issue and harms our sovereignty all of a sudden.

I wonder who gains the most when we put up these barriers but to only one country instead of all others...
