Reddit had a sub like this which quickly turned into people posting obvious lies for karma farming. I dont think humans are trust-worthy enough for blurting out their deepest secrets to strangers.
I grew up in the 2000s and the internet has always been like this, just more censored now. Seems to me it's just how most people are. Life moves fast and its quicker to read the headline, if you know what i mean
