My first big one was when the government said sorry back in the 2000s and there was a big fear (at least where i was on the Sunny Coast) that our tax return would be given away (or something like that). Until that point i had heard racist jokes but it was always "just a joke" or "mate its just edgy humour" but that moment was some weird deep hate shit i did not understand
